Our goal at the Harvest Moon Café is to provide our customers with food we would be proud to serve our family and friends. If we don’t love it, we don’t sell it. We make everything from scratch in our own kitchen with our own little hands. That includes the bread for your sandwich, the dressing for your salad and the cake that you love for dessert.

Our food is Southern with a twist; the good food your mama used to make with a nouveau flair to wake it up a bit. Our excellent kitchen staff prides themselves in bringing you food that makes your tongue smile!
The experience is emphasized by our eclectic environment that is casual yet urban, a mix of folk art and modern flair.

We are also dedicated to providing you with the best service possible. The Harvest Moon Café is known as one of the most innovative, best managed and progressive cafés in the area. We have been successful because of our incredible staff and their commitment, professionalism and spirit. Our head server was labeled “the best server in town” by the restaurant critic for the Rome Unscene, a local entertainment publication.

Moon History

Harvest Moon Café began in 1998, as a small bread market in Cave Spring, GA. Not long after opening, owner Ginny Kibler decided if you are going to make bread, you might as well make sandwiches, and the rest is history. The restaurant spent three years in its Cave Spring home and became known for its excellent quality sandwiches and funky atmosphere.

In January 1999, Ginny decided to answer the many cries for a Rome location and opened a second small sandwich shop on East Second Ave. Folks were so pleased to see it that the restaurant soon outgrew its Rome spot. Ginny and her husband Doc decided to take the big leap and renovate an historic 1895 building in downtown Rome (originally the Fahy Department store) which took over a year to complete.

In 2001, the Harvest Moon Café opened at 234 Broad Street with a much larger seating capacity and two outdoor seating areas, serving both lunch AND dinner. Since then, the restaurant has done nothing but grow, now offering lunch on Monday, full
lunch and dinner menus Tuesday thru Saturday, Sunday Brunch as well as catering and special parties in the private upstairs room. The Moon Roof Bar, on our back deck, offers light dining, drinks and a great view of downtown.
